East Africa / Prototype

Built where the
road ends.

Punda Kali is Swahili for “Badass Donkey” – a rugged eMTB built to move quietly, climb relentlessly and unlock new experiences along East Africa’s lifeline trails.

01 / Origin

Born on the trail

A quiet machine for loud terrain.

Possibly the most badass hardtail eMTB built to date.

Shaped by East Africa — dusty trails, mud, steep climbs, rocky descents, tropical heat, cold highland mornings and the salty air of the Swahili Coast.

Punda Kali celebrates the trails that keep East Africa moving—the narrow lines between farms, villages, forests and mountains. Electric assistance extends the range, while thoughtful engineering keeps the ride feeling natural.

02 / The stance

Simple by design. Built to last.

Stable. Balanced.
Ready for more.

01

Calm when it gets wild.

Robust 29-inch wheels, a 64° head angle and 150 mm fork keep it composed through rock, sand and fast, broken ground.

02

Power where it belongs.

The Bafang M510 RS, 720 Wh battery and 76° seat-tube angle provide the power, range and riding position to conquer the steepest climbs.

03

Built to follow through.

The 450 mm chainstays balance climbing traction with a responsive rear that is ready to leave the ground when the trail demands it.

03 / The proof

“Tested over thousands of kilometres across East Africa. The work continues and so do the rides. Ride on!”
